Negombo Waterland Hotel – A unique stay with private pool in a tropical paradise

The Negombo Waterland Hotel is located in a rather unique place, a tropical oasis between coconut trees, the Hamilton canal and the Maha Oya river.

You will feel suddenly in a paradise with fragrant frangipani, flowering birds and the lovely cool breeze coming from the beach through the estuary

Tropical modern design, antiques, and regional artwork give each villa a warm unique character.  A personal villa, private infinity-edge plunge pool, and extensive indoor and outdoor living space provide each guest with a sumptuous sanctuary. A team of English-speaking staff are dedicated to providing guests with sublime first and last experiences of Sri Lanka.

Overall an amazing place to chill out and relax, serving great food too, which is pretty special considering you will enjoy it at your private pool, even with a floating tray for a different experience.

Restaurants:

  • Prego is a very popular restaurant in Negombo offering delicious Italian food.
  • Lords is another lovely option serving exquisite Asian inspired food at a very reasonable price. Live music is playing on most nights and the service is top-notch
  • Tastee Banana is a very popular spot with tables on the beach for a nice sea breeze. The food is a fusion of Asian styles, all very tasty. Lovely seafood.

Drinks and/or cafes:

  • The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is one of the best cafes in Negombo, more expensive than other places but the coffee is really unbeatable
  • Rodeo Pub is a good western-like pub that works great for a few beers and some DJ music. They also offer western food
