There are so many lovely villages in France that is hard to pick one and say I want to go back. I was there for two weeks in July following the Tour De France and any new village had a wow factor.

The food was exceptional, the croissants to die for, the wine exceptional. All in all a great experience which reminded me of how lovely is the old continent, with so many villages and castles from the medieval era.

St.Emillion is another classical example of medieval village. With hot days and cool nights you may experience some fog in the morning, awful if you need to drive but great for photography, it just adds that mystery factor.
