The night lights from the centre of Melbourne, called also CBD, can be really amazing. I usually ride my bike to find the best spots to document the city and the Birrarung bridge is definitely one of my favorites. Unfortunately it is a walk only bridge and the sign is pretty big, you can’t miss it.

I have been living in Melbourne for 10 years and it is unbelievable how much the riding movement has changed. The most famous cycling road is called Beach Road and they estimate that around 10 thousand cyclists ride till Mordialloc, around 30km from the centre, each Saturday and Sunday.

There are at least five times more commuters preferring to cycle instead of driving or public transportation. The Ride2Work day is a massive cycling and festival day that take the Melbourne population to ride to the office.

All in all a great change, however the infrastructure has not improved as much and, as often happens, the local government is lacking and running behind.
