I always consider Dandenong to be part of Melbourne, or at least the Greater Melbourne Area. Am I right here? Probably the locals prefer to be “different” and not really Melburnians as such. Any comment here is more than welcome. Beside the location, the Dandenong Forest is just spectacular, especially considering how close to the CBD is. An easy trip you can do by car, although the best is probably to take the bike on the train to Ferntree Gully and explore from there. Being fit helps, the hills can be challenging.

This little lake worked very well as a mirror. I was quite satisfied from the shot. One thing I am realising is that HDR does not come out great with  many trees in the composition. As I always say, use HDR where it makes sense, not just every time. I will write soon few pages with subjects as “Did you know that….” or “Good and bad of HDR”. I hope it will help, it is mostly based on my past experience, and the photography books I am reading here and there.
