The South Melbourne Town Hall is considered one of the grandest examples of this style in Australia. Built in 1880, it has been used as Town Hall and in many other different ways. It is quite imposing I must say, and it was designed in a pretty unique way, compared with other Town Halls. It is in a round square, something you rarely find in Melbourne. When I think back to Europe, most of the cities are actually built around a main square, the old style, just add-on to the small originally centrally located community.  One of my favourite building in Melbourne. What is your favourite?

When in Melbourne, his hometown, you will see him cycling around at sunset or sunrise looking for the best spot for a photo of this beautiful city. It is quite amazing how much photography gear he can pack on his bike :o
