The Star Observation Wheel is one of the most impressive constructions that Melbourne has to offer. It stands out in the Docklands area, just behind the Etihad Stadium. Is it worth a visit? What can I say – you can’t have a view better than this one!

What are the best sites to have a unique photo? There are many of them.

  • for a close up, just jump on the wheel and wait till your cabin is on the top, almost on level with the cabin in front of you. Take the photo 😉
  • from well below the wheel, up in the sky
  • from the multi level garage next to the wheel (as the photo here in the post). Go on the top level and get ready. The best time of the day is just after sunset, in the blue hour when you can have a real long exposure photo. You will have the sun in front of you in winter
