A trip to Hobart would not be complete without a visit to Mount Wellington, just few km out of the city. There is even the possibility to rent a bike and ride to the top (if you are very fit) or just cycle back, through the long and steep descend.

I was few days ago at a party and I was introduced to somebody. I asked if he was from Australia, he answered me that he was from Tasmania. I loved the answer. It gives that idea of almost separation from the mainland. Tasmania is such a unique place in the world. There are green forests where you can get lost for days, beaches where you would not meet any person even in a typical summer hot day. It’s all about wilderness and loneliness.

But it’s also the place where you can meet the most lovable people, you can spend hours talking about the local tradition and enjoy the fantastic fresh food, wine and beers.

Tasmania, the place to visit!
