Daily Photo – Ayutthaya Buddha Head

Once formal capital of Siam and Thailand, Ayutthaya has lots of history, so much you could spend a week in this sleepy city. This is the famous Buddha Head, blocked between the roots of a tree at the Wat Mahathat. Ayutthaya is a short trip, about 1 hour, from Bangkok.
Melbourne Daily Photo – Multicolored Flinders Street Station, the way out

This photo with all these lines remembered me the drawings that I used to color as a kid....and....I colored it as a kid..a bit of unusual style. How do you like it?
Melbourne Daily Photo – I had a hard working day

This is really the case. I think most of the people in Melbourne are thinking what is happening to the wheel....I can assure you there are people working on it and people taking a photo of it
Melbourne Daily Photo – The Bayside Moon, Brighton Beach

Fragments in memory of a nice and relaxing walk in Brighton beach
Melbourne Daily Photo – Defending the city from the Mornington Peninsula

A defending historic site in the Mornington Peninsula used during the second World War, an interesting site to visit on a day tour
Melbourne Daily Photo – Laughing at the Luna Park, St.Kilda

Easy to find in these days a stormy day. Just to give a different feeling to the Luna Park in St.Kilda. I decided to come here to take few shots of the carousel, lots of action of course. Well I soon found out that a tripod cannot be used here (?safety?). So I had to change instead to hand held →
Australia Daily Photo – A ghost gold mine out in the desert, Outback

I looked around, but no more sign of gold and that may explain why only ghosts are there now. Unfortunately it was totally unsafe to go in, otherwise I bet it would have been a great place for some fantastic shots!!
Melbourne Daily Photo – Academic classical style at the South Melbourne Town Hall

It's B&W week. This is one of my favourite Town Hall in Melbourne. The building has a grand design, and more important it is located in a nice square, similar to a typical European city centre.
Australia Daily Photo – The Sydney Harbour Bridge dominating the Sydney Bay

I remind this is the Sydney week. 7 photos dedicated to Sydney, Sunday to Saturday, as a week theme. I hope you enjoy it. There are so many nice creeks and inlets in Sydney that you can literally make a nice photo every couple of meters. Lavender Bay is one of them, on the north shore, fantastic.
Australia Daily Photo – Close up on the Sydney Opera House

I remind this is the Sydney week. 7 photos dedicated to Sydney, Sunday to Saturday, as a week theme. I hope you enjoy it. I tried to make a close up of the Opera House. It was again early morning and I was lucky enough to have a good light coming through Why a close up? I thought I try to →
Australia Daily Photo – The Observatory corner of the Sydney Harbour Bridge

I remind this is the Sydney week. 7 photos dedicated to Sydney as a week theme. I hope you enjoy it. I was looking for an unusual corner of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It was a long walk between 6 and 8am, but at the end I thought "that's it". Whenever you go to Sydney I suggest you to go to →
Australia Daily Photo – Opera house yes, but what about this ancient tree, lovely

I loved the North side of Sydney. That was the part I explored more last weekend. I found this tree which was quite fascinating. The size was saying everything about the age, a long term spectator of the Sydney Harbour Bay.
Melbourne Daily Photo – Vinegar is back in Richmond, with more visual effects

Sometime I like to push a bit further and try some photo effects that could make a photo more interesting. A new colour, a black&white effect.....and here it is a different prospective. I spent a bit of time on this photo, with different end results; this is the version I like more....tomorrow on Facebook another two, and you tell me →
Melbourne Daily Photo – A wall of all Nations at the Public House in South Melbourne

Public housing in Melbourne was really well thought, location wise. I guess the original idea was to spread all these buildings around the city, one each area. In this way they avoided a concentration of them in a far away suburb, with possible critical consequences, as it happened in Paris 2 years ago, or in any other big city in →
Melbourne Daily Photo – An aborigine walks in Fitzroy

This is an interesting corner of Fitzroy that I want to investigate more, beside the photo aspect of it. The graffiti here reminded me of a "far away land", the Northern Territory. It was sunset, a good time to make this photo.
Today’s photo – A mirror and the Vinegar, a Melbourne symbol in Richmond

I have seen a number of photos with the Vinegar symbol, just opposite Ikea in Richmond, and I had a sort of idea on the composition. I wanted it a bit different from the usual ones, mostly done in the night, which I love, by the way. I was approaching the place on sunset time, and here it is a →
