After so many years of talks about it, finally the skate park is open for action. Great area, just meters from the sea. The sunset here is amazing, a great spot for few photos.

Melbourne-Daily-Photo-Blog-Albert Park- F1- Formula 1- Melbourne- Sport-Albert-Park_20120306_17_8_9-2-2

It is coming, not too far away. The Formula One circuit is almost ready for the 2013 race. It is a love or hate event. Locals and Greens are not too happy about it. I am personally not able to ride my bike through it, although there are alternatives of course. For sure Melbourne city will be on the TV →

Melbourne Daily Photo – The bay between storms

Melbourne-Daily-Photo-Blog-Beach- marina- Port Melbourne-PortMelbourne_20121216_014_5_6-2

I waited a bit, I really wanted to take a photo of the Port Melbourne sailing club on sunset, but another storm was approaching. Always take a camera plastic cover !! Lesson learnt

Melbourne-Daily-Photo-Blog-Docklands- Etihad- Melbourne- Stadium-CBD_20120813_036_7_8-2

The Etihad Stadium is dominating the west side of the CBD, in Docklands.....so many cranes in the foreground, a real lively city.

Should I start fishing....it really looks like it is getting more and more popular in Melbourne

Melbourne Daily Photo – Sleeping boats at the St.Kilda Sailing Club

It is spring and during the week this sailing club has so many boats in the harbour, resting before the big race on Saturday, another St.Kilda sport event not to be missed

Melbourne Daily Photo – Fishing in Albert Park

Melbourne-Daily-Photo-Blog--StKilda_20120426_009

It was a cold day but the fisherman was there, at the bottom end of the pier. I went to the fish shop, easier !!

Daily Photo – A weekend in Italy – A lane in Tropea, Calabria

Melbourne-Daily-Photo-Blog-Calabria- Flag- Italy- Tropea- Village-138-3859_IMG-Edit-Edit-2-2

During the football world cup all the lanes of this little village were covered by Italian flags, I loved the impact. Italians are very patriotic.....when football is on

Melbourne Daily Photo – Walking to the AAMI stadium

Melbourne-Daily-Photo-Blog-AAMI- Balls- Stadium- Stair-Richmond_20120224_12_3_4-2

This is the latest stadium of Melbourne, very futuristic. I love the contrast between the stair lines and the "eggs"

Who said that fishing is not an action sport? You just need a long exposure haahha

Melbourne Daily Photo – Riding, riding, riding….another romantic night with my bike in Middle Park

Melbourne-Daily-Photo-Blog-Little Pier- night- Port Melbourne- Sea-PortMelbourne_20120426_120

My partner deserved a noir photo, a black and white photo that reminds me a bit of the romantic France, not sure why because I am actually in Middle Park.

Melbourne Daily Photo – Romantic view….with a bicycle, Yarra River

Melbourne-Daily-Photo-Blog-Bike- Bridge- Melbourne- Yarra River-SouthYarra_20120510_036_7_8-Edit-2

Riding, riding and riding.....what a passion...I thought this time I could give a bit of space to my partner in this Yarra sunset

Melbourne-Daily-Photo-Blog-Bush- Forest- Victoria- Walk- walking- Werribee Gorge-Werribee-Gorge_20120122_59_60_61-Edit-2

It's not too far away from Melbourne, maybe one hour drive, and it is hard to find it....but well worth it, fantastic place for a bush walk

Melbourne Daily Photo – The naughty boy on a skateboard in Melbourne CBD

Melbourne-Daily-Photo-Blog-cbd- Library- man- Melbourne- People- skateboard- State Library- Victoria- walking-CBD_20120507_010_1_2-2

I was back in Melbourne Streets and, of course, one of the most interesting subjects is the people around. My attention was grabbed by this guy which was going back and forward with the skateboard and the hoodie. It seemed he did not mix at all with the crowd around.

The MOBILE issue – Cycling around

Melbourne-Daily-Photo-Blog-Bike- Melbourne- MobileDone- St.Kilda-2011-10-09 14.16.15__-2

.....I have seen this old push bike. It remembered me a lot of the bike my old grand father gave me as a gift and I left somewhere in Rome, now of course gone. I wish I had it here, sigh

Melbourne Daily Photo – The city is going to sleep…

Melbourne-Daily-Photo-Blog-boat- cbd- sailing- St.Kilda- Sunset-StKilda_20120423_050_1_2-2

6pm on a working day.....this is the time when the shops start shutting down, the offices start closing and the cars start queuing up on the way to home....get a bike if you can and enjoy the freedom party...

Melbourne Daily Photo – Cycling in the night, the blue fountain

Melbourne-Daily-Photo-Blog-Anastasia- Bike- Fountain- South Melbourne-SouthMelbourne_20120417_006

Fantastic background color for this photo. When I saw this fountain I had to stop and make a shot, it could not be missed, with a cyclist silhouette in the foreground of course.

The MOBILE issue – Ride your bike

MEL365-Melbourne-Photo-Blog-Bike-bicycle-horse-sunset

The horse shadow over my bike. I always thought that the bike is a city reincarnation of the horse, powered by human legs. This photo is just what I was looking for. Same statement, just visual. Again, the shot was made with a mobile not far away from Melbourne

The MOBILE issue – Bicycle like horses

MEL365-Melbourne-Photo-Blog-bike-bycicle-lane

Horse were left outside the pub in the far west......bikes are parked outside the cafe' in Melbourne ....love it

Melbourne Daily Photo – Cycling between secular trees in the Fawkner Park

Melbourne-Daily-Photo-Blog-Bike--Fawkner-Park--South-Yarra--Tree-South-Yarra_20120224_49_50_51-2

I love this park, I already mentioned that in a previous post. These secular trees are just amazing and the sun shining through the branches adds a bit of fairy tale, isn't it?
