Melbourne Daily Photo – Terrific sunset on the big wheel

It has been advertised as the biggest wheel in the southern hemisphere. It run for few days, around 3 years ago, and no more action since. A nice subject for few photos
Melbourne Daily Photo – Photos from above, the wheel from the top

The unfinished work in Docklands. Does anybody know when is it going to be fixed? The published dates are back in 2011....
Melbourne Daily Photo – Photos from above, a parking area with city view

I loved the view from this parking area, empty as ever
Melbourne Daily Photo – Photos from above, a close up to the Myers building

Last week I published the first photo of a new area in the Melbourne CBD where they are rebuilding the Myers shopping centre. This is a closeup with the old, in the foreground, and the new Myers, in the background.
Melbourne Daily Photo – Photos from above, old and new Myers

Another roof top shot, this time from a parking next to the Myers area. The old building on the front, the new one on the background. Really an interesting spot for few photos. Myers is quite possibly the most iconic Melbourne shopping center. It almost looks like a WW2 explosion!!
Melbourne Daily Photo – B&W View, the last standing in the office

I loved the connection between the office building in the background and the car of a possible commuter in the foreground. Time to go home
Melbourne Daily Photo – Photos from above, one or two photos?

It may seem two photos but it is actually only one. It is quite amazing the different prospective you may have of the city from the top. There is such a mix of architecture around, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and more, all amalgamated in the CBD, sometime in full contrast, other times matching nicely.
Melbourne Daily Photo – Photos from above, lanes from the top

An interesting view from the top of Hardware Lane. It was around 5pm and the commuters were starting rushing back home
Melbourne Daily Photo – Photos from above, on my way to the top level

I was walking to the roof top of one garage in CBD and I found this interesting corner, a bit grungy, fitting just perfectly in the city center contest
Melbourne Daily Photo – Photos from above, going north in Russell Street

It's rush hour, office time is over and the streets are getting busy with all the commuters. The massive BHP building is watching over. This is Russell Street, in the Melbourne CBD
Melbourne Daily Photo – Photos from above, Chinatown gate

Melbourne Daily Photo – Photos from above, Dragon boat and Chinatown

Chinatown photos are always full of the red color. Melbourne Daily Photo – Photos from above: Westpac, ANZ and the old buildings

Again in the city high rise parking exploration. I was on a 7th and top floor of a car park in the city and I loved this conflicting view of the corporate and old style, grungy buildings. Melbourne Daily Photo – Photos from above, the bright lane

I had this strange feeling on the top of this car park. I saw this storm approaching the multilevel building in the foreground but somehow avoiding the little lane, giving the respect it deserves. I love Melbourne lanes. Photos from above are all made from car parks around the city. I just ride my bike to the top and enjoy the →
Melbourne Daily Photo – Photos from above, the office beehive

It was around 5:30pm and most of the lights in the office building were on. It reminded me an office hive where everybody contribute to the company profit. It is just our nature Photos from above are all made from car parks around the city. I just ride my bike to the top and enjoy the view, making photos here and →
Melbourne Daily Photo – Photos from above, growing city

This corner of the city gave me an idea of how Melbourne has grown, from the right corner with small houses moving to the left and finally to the skyscraper. A growing city Photos from above are all made from car parks around the city. I just ride my bike to the top and enjoy the view, making photos here and →
Melbourne Daily Photo – Photos from above, matching architecture

I love photos of the city when it comes to matching old and new architecture. Such a contrast. What is your favorite? Photos from above are all made from car parks around the city.
