Melbourne Daily Photo – Paddling in the past, another Yarra bridge

Old time effect to this photo...early morning activity, back in the '800
Melbourne Daily Photo – B&W View, the Yarra River

I am starting liking more and more the black and white photos. And I am enjoying more and more the long exposure photos as well, it gives that sense of dreaming effect with water and clouds creating a fog effect. This is a new Melbourne project, the B&W View. Enjoy!
Melbourne Daily Photo – A Yarra river night view of Southbank

Riding my bicycle here and there in the night I saw this interesting Yarra view of South Bank. It's a pity that this area is pretty empty, but new bars are getting opened, so there is hope to see more action soon.
Melbourne Daily Photo – Melbourne lines in the night

Lots of lines crossing each other in this photo. I was captured by the Crown lights, together with the Melbourne Exhibition Centre arcades and finally the Southbank building in the background. All together a big geometry minestrone
Melbourne Daily Photo – Connecting Docklands to South Wharf, over the Yarra river

It's B&W week. Finally I was able to make some photos of this bridge. I always liked the lights around it, and the black and white format works just great here.
Melbourne Daily Photo – The formal vintage style MTC, Southbank

Yesterday I posted a night photo of the new MTC, with some unusual lines, which worked great on a photo. Today is time for the old venue which I find very interesting, with the graffiti all around. It's a pity this structure is closed down. It would be really interesting to explore the interiors.
Melbourne Daily Photo – The cubical MTC lights the back streets of Southbank

This interesting structure replaced the old MTC in 2009. I really enjoy the lines of these cubes all around the building; they for sure stand out in the back streets of Southbank and they are a great photographic inspiration. Do I like it more than the old one? Being a vintage lover, I still prefer the old one. I will →
Melbourn Daily Photo – Graffiti corner in Southbank

This is an interesting corner in Southbank. This photo almost looks like two half pictures together, isn't it? Yes, that was the ultimate goal I guess. When I saw this place, I though straight away to the post production and how I could use it to create a 2-side photo.
Melbourne Daily Photo – An exciting graffiti lane in Southbank

This lane is quite amazing. I stopped here for almost an hour I believe. I always find the graffiti in the CBD lanes over-amazing, however, because of the huge popularity, photographed from every single corner and in every single way. Said that, I'm still thinking to make some photos there as well, but from a sort of different prospective....we shall →
Melbourne Daily Photo – Australia day, last firework photo for 2012

It was a fantastic night, and this is the last photo I was able to make at the firework event. I have already posted two of them, on 28th of January and on 3rd of February. Let me know which one you like more ;-)
Melbourne Daily Photo – Firework on Australia Day at Eureka Tower, Southbank

Oh yes, Australia day is Australia Day, one of my favourite day in Australia, right in the middle of the summer, usually a warm day to spend at the beach, as it was in my case, windsurfing the all day. I was quite tired in the evening, but I really did not want to miss the fireworks in the city. →
Melbourne Daily Photo – Frankenstein graffiti at the formal Melbourne Theatre Company

The formal MTC (Melbourne Theatre Company) is a very well hidden place, no question about. MTC has since moved to a more trendy place and location, which is for sure one site to visit for some futuristic shots. However I love the formal MTC building, clearly an old warehouse with some incredible graffiti. The all back lane is actually an open →
Today’s photo – Acca architecture, a texture inspiration

The ACCA rusted wall just outside the centre was a real great inspiration. I drove my bike through one day and I wrote down in my book the location. The rust comes out very well when the photo is made in HDR and I could not miss this opportunity. It was almost raining, and the black sky helped even more →
