Melbourne Daily Photo – Architecture with a shape for the Metropolitan Fire Brigade

Interesting shape this building, and I was there just at the right time, with the sun coming down on the horizon creating a nice sunset warm light
Melbourne Daily Photo – A graffiti corner, lovely street art under a Richmond sunset

I found this colorful ramp close to the Yarra river. It is a building planned to be demolished so enjoy it for as long as it exists. Street art is like that, it appears one day, it is forgotten the next one. Sad but true in most cases.
Melbourne Daily Photo – Ipad, Ipod, tablets, phones…we still need lots of energy, Richmond

A nice sunset, a questionable landscape. The reality is that we may want to be very green however nowadays we are using more electricity than ever. Why? We have changed, beside the TV and maybe a computer we today have home theater, ipad, iphone, laptops, and so many other gadgets. No politics here, we should just take few minutes, maybe seconds, →
Melbourne Daily Photo – Church Street Bridge

The Church Street Bridge has quite a lot of history behind it. It has gone through different versions and refurbishments, starting from an iron made one in 1857. The best view is directly from the river or from the side bicycle paths. Get there at sunset to have the best light.
Melbourne Daily Photo – Line, square, triangles…..this is the AAMI stadium, Richmond

There is no question about, the AAMI stadium is one the most exciting building that has been built in the last 5-10 years. Just have a walk around and wonder through the lines crossing and forming an interesting overall design. Add the audio broadcast outside and you will see why I am so enthusiastic about this place.
Melbourne Daily Photo – The secret graffiti room in Richmond

This is an amazing graffiti place in Richmond. Unfortunately the building is on the process to be crashed down to allow a multi level, super lifestyle, multi unit to be erected instead. If you like this kind of art and you are in Melbourne you should really visit it, well worth it. The map is just below the photo.
Melbourne Daily Photo – Vinegar is back in Richmond, with more visual effects

Sometime I like to push a bit further and try some photo effects that could make a photo more interesting. A new colour, a black&white effect.....and here it is a different prospective. I spent a bit of time on this photo, with different end results; this is the version I like more....tomorrow on Facebook another two, and you tell me →
Melbourne Daily Photo – A graffiti mine in Richmond

I was riding my bicycle along the Yarra river and I found this old building almost falling apart in Richmond. There was a big hole on one side where I could get through and from there visit the amazing place. Clearly lots of artist have spent a considerable amount of time here. I was really excited, such a lovely grungy place. I →
Melbourne Daily Photo – industry used as canvas for graffiti in Richmond

I was riding my bike back from another photo walk/ride and I found this industry, I think a chemical one, with a chimney on the background. I loved the fact that the external wall has been used as a canvas for graffiti. It will not last too long though, as they are building a multi unit block units just on →
Today’s photo – A mirror and the Vinegar, a Melbourne symbol in Richmond

I have seen a number of photos with the Vinegar symbol, just opposite Ikea in Richmond, and I had a sort of idea on the composition. I wanted it a bit different from the usual ones, mostly done in the night, which I love, by the way. I was approaching the place on sunset time, and here it is a →
